Snow in the Serra de Monchique

A rare natural spectacle

The cold wave from northern directions troubling the Iberian Peninsula has also affected the sunny Algarve. The peak of the Foia in the Serra de Monchique, the highest elevation in southern Portugal, for the first time since several years registered some snow fall.
